Ross Brawn owned 24,9% of the team until today Mercedes GP. Shares bought from Daimler and Aabar PJS, its main shareholder. But as the Briton points out, this in no way calls into question his involvement in the team.

“The acquisition by Daimler and Aabar of the remaining 24,9% shares is a new step in the consolidation and strengthening of our team for the future, Brawn explains. Motor racing, and more particularly F1, is a very specialized industry. Being able to count on partners like Daimler and Aabar is a privilege for us. I remain fully committed to the team for the long term, with all of our employees. We look forward to taking on this challenge which is to help our team win. We are proud to represent Mercedes-Benz, and to perpetuate the tradition of the Silver Arrows. »
