Brendon Leigh first F1 Esports Series champion

At the end of the three races of the final of F1 Esports Series, the British Brendon Leigh was crowned the first champion of the eSport category launched this year around F1.

Leigh won the first round on the Gilles-Villeneuve track in Canada yesterday before an eighth place on the Spa-Francorchamps track where Cem Bolukbasi won before the eyes of his team boss within FA Racing G2 Logitech G , Fernando Alonso.

During the final confrontation, organized at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, Leigh, second on the grid, took control of the race for a while, before Fabrizio Donoso took back first place after pit stops.

A time threatened by Sven Zurner, then third, and left behind by Donoso, Leigh will come back on the leader and succeed in the decisive overtake on the last lap to win the coronation.
