La Formula 1 will change tire manufacturers in a year. After the end of this 2009 season, Bridgestone announced its withdrawal from the premier single-seater category at the end of the next season. Bridgestone will therefore supply the teams in 2010, before passing the baton to another manufacturer. Since Michelin's withdrawal at the end of 2006, the Japanese firm has equipped all the single-seaters in the paddock.
