Pirelli admitted early on that its goal was to make racing more exciting. Is the transalpine manufacturer on the verge of succeeding in its bet? Jenson Button gives us a first element of answer.

?It?s nice to have a new tire manufacturer joining the Formula 1, explains the 2009 world champion. Pirelli has done a fantastic job. In many areas, we have the impression that Bridgestone never left as the handover went so well. Tire management is going to be interesting this year. We are going to see a more unpredictable competition, and I think that will be positive for the spectators. Look at 2005, when tire changes were banned, the influence that had on the end of races, and look at every year in Canada, when tires are destroyed. These are the best races. I still think the best will win, but we're going to see a real battle on the track. It will be fantastic. »
