The Brawn GP driver spoke at a press conference about his victory on the Montmelo track. Jenson Button notably explained the difference in strategy between him and his teammate, Rubens Barrichello. A strategy which benefited the Briton since the Brazilian held the lead in the first laps of the Grand Prix.
« Rubens and I both started with an identical strategy. The team switched me to a two-stop strategy so as not to put our eggs in one basket. I wasn?t sure if this was the right tactic. After refueling, the car was very heavy, and I had to push like crazy to keep the lead. This victory gives me an extraordinary feeling. To win here, on a track that I really like, after such a start to the season, is truly wonderful. »
