Canal + achieves an audience record for the last Grand Prix

During the last Grand Prix of the year, Canal + broke its audience record. The finale of this memorable season which was held this weekend in Abu Dhabi was followed by 1,9 million viewers, with an audience peak of 2,41 million at the time of the last round. Never has the encrypted channel reached such a score since it broadcast the Formula 1 in 2013. In September 2020, Canal + announced that it would broadcast the premier event until 2024.

“What a breathtaking season, declares Thierry Cheleman, Director of Sports at CANAL+. We all arranged to meet at the last turn to witness the coronation of Max Verstappen ! It’s a real pleasure to offer such a show to our subscribers. There are more and more of them every year who are passionate about F1 on CANAL+! Our audiences have made a spectacular jump over the past 2 years. Reports, news, appointments in the heart of the paddock... all Formula 1 fans have experienced this season in total immersion, thanks to the work of our motor sports editorial team, led by Thomas Sénécal. See you at the first turn in 2022! »
