Daniel Ricciardo positive for Covid-19

Already deprived of the first two days of driving due to an uncomfortable condition, Daniel Ricciardo will also miss the last day of winter testing scheduled for this Saturday. The Australian has indeed tested positive for Covid-19, his team announced McLaren. In recent days, the Perth native was regularly tested but the results were always negative. “McLaren Racing is able to confirm that after feeling unwell since Wednesday in Bahrain, Daniel Ricciardo tested positive for Covid-19” we learned in a press release. 

The Woking team also clarified that the former driver Renault remains in solitary confinement according to the laws in force in Bahrain, specifying, and this is important, that “according to these rules in force, Daniel will be released from his isolation in time for the next Grand Prix of F1». It is also stated that Ricciardo is starting to feel better. As a direct result, his teammate Lando Norris will once again take the wheel for the last day, this Saturday.
