BMW racing engine specialist Paul Rosche has died at the age of 82. It was under his direction that some of the German brand's most famous blocks were created before establishing themselves on international circuits.

From the world champion four-cylinder turbo F1 in Nelson Piquet's Brabham BT52 in 1983, with the V12 engine that won at Le Mans in 1995 (with the McLaren F1 GTR) and in 1999 with the BMW V12 LMR, Paul Rosche allowed the blocks branded by the propeller firm to mark their era.

CARhebdo presents its sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Paul Rosche.
