Death of Romolo Tavoni

Romolo Tavoni died this Sunday, December 20 at the age of 94. Enzo Ferrari's first secretary in the 1950s, the native of Modena (Italy) was mainly responsible for the Team between the end of 1957 and 1961. Under his leadership, Ferrari became world sports car champion twice, in 1958 and 1961 with the 250 Testa Rossa, and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, in 1958, 1960, 1961.

En Formula 1, Mike Hawthorn was titled in 1958 while Phil Hill took the Prancing Horse to the world title in 1961. Later, he unsuccessfully founded the ATS team before taking care of the Monza circuit until 1992.
