Mercedes-Benz Motorsport confirmed yesterday the integration into its Junior program of two very young hopefuls from karting, with the Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli (12 years old) and the Jamaican Alex Powell (11 years old).
The German brand will therefore support the careers of these two drivers this season. Higher in the motorsport hierarchy, George Russell, holder Williams Racing this year, and Esteban Ocon, starter at Racing Point F1 last year and now a Mercedes reserve driver, are still being looked after by Mercedes.
