The stewards waved the red flag for the second time this Friday in Mexico, during the second free practice session for the Mexican Grand Prix. After Alfonso Celis Jr (Force India) in the morning, it's Romain Grosjean (Haas) who went off the track in his first laps. The incident occurred at the exit of the last corner of the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit. The Haas curiously went into a slide but it was on rejoining the track that the front wing of the car was destroyed.

Simultaneously, the left rear tire delaminated, tearing off part of the flat floor in the process. Littered with debris, the track had to be cleared for around ten minutes.
