Barrichello – Webber escapement

Starting from pole position, Mark Webber saw Rubens Barrichello, lighter, take the lead of the race. The two men escaped and, after 8 laps, had a lead of around ten seconds over a quartet made up of Kovalainen, Button, Massa and Hag. Further on, Räikkönen and Sutil let go somewhat. Followed by Rosberg, Kubica, Alonso, Fisichella, Heidfeld, Buemi, Picket, Glock, Nakajima, Bourdais, Trulli, Hamilton.
