At the age of 24 years, Esteban Ocon has just won his first victory of his career on the Hungaroring circuit. The Norman took advantage of the pileup at the start to take the lead in the race. He then held Sebastien Hag, four-time world champion, behind him for more than 60 laps. A remarkable performance behind the wheel of his Alpine so much so that the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron wanted to congratulate the French pilot through a tweet.
On the podium, Ocon (Alpine) ahead of Sebastien Vettel (Aston Martin) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes).
