United States – Q2: Leclerc in front, Gasly stops there

There will therefore be no French in Q3. After early elimination ofEsteban Ocon from Q1, Pierre Gasly was eliminated a few minutes later in Q2. The Habs complained about the behavior of his car in turns 1 and 11, the two biggest braking events on the circuit. His teammate Yuki tsunoda (15th) did not qualify either. Finally Lando Norris can thank Guanyu-Zhou. While he was virtually eliminated, the cancellation of the Chinese's best lap allowed the Briton to escape at the last minute and reach Q3. Disappointment for Sebastian Vettel on the other hand, who also remains in the cart. At the forefront, it is Charles Leclerc who signed the best time, with half a tenth ahead of Max Verstappen.
