Vijay Mallya dreams of launching a young Indian pilot in F1 thanks to the stable he owns. But the Force India boss admits the time is not yet right.

Preferring to keep Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil rather than opting for any other option like his compatriot Narain Karthikeyan, Vijay Mallya admitted that he wanted to put an Indian driver at the wheel of one of his cars? in the future.

“I feel, despite the talent we have in India, that the time has not yet come,” comments Mallya. “From a patriotic point of view, I would love to see an Indian behind the wheel of an Indian F1 car but that is not in the interest of Force India today. »

?I always thought that we could find our Lewis Hamilton in our country of 1,2 billion inhabitants. We will prospect and when it is found, you will see,” adds the Force India boss.
