Saudi Arabian GP – A meeting will take place after Free Practice 2

The situation is uncertain in Jeddah after an explosion in an oil warehouse in the city. An attack claimed by the Houthis according to AFP. As a reminder, the Houthis have been rebelling since 2015 against Yemeni power, which is held by the coalition of Gulf countries, led precisely by the Saudi kingdom.

Regarding the Formula 1, she has still not officially communicated and says she is waiting for more information from the authorities to do so. The second Free Practice session is underway after a 15-minute postponement. While a first meeting took place with the main teams and drivers, a second is scheduled for 20 p.m. French time.

In the meantime, F1 and Stefano Domenicali have informed the teams that the weekend will go ahead "as initially planned and that security at the event level has been one of the priorities for the authorities."
