Due to the penalties imposed on the various drivers, none of the cars eliminated in Q2 of the Russian GP achieved time in Sochi.
The pilots Red Bull Max Verstappen et Daniel Ricciardo, as well as Toro Rosso de Pierre Gasly did not take the track. The same goes for the Renault de Carlos Sainz Jr and Nico Hulkenberg who preferred to save tires and mechanics.
The Mercedes remain the fastest with a time of 1’32”595 signed by Lewis Hamilton with more than a tenth ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas.
