GP France – Q2: Gasly narrowly qualified

Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) saved his place in Q3 at the French GP by taking 10th place in the second qualifying session with 4 hundredths ahead of Alexander albon (Toro Rosso). Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) failed in 12th place ahead Nico Hulkenberg (Renault), Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas).

Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) was the fastest by setting the new lap record in 1'29''437 with 69 thousandths ahead of Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari). Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) followed 8 hundredths ahead Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). Lando Norris (McLaren) is 5th in front Max Verstappen (Re Bull), Carlos Sainz Jr (McLaren), Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) and Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo).
