The first phase of qualifying for the 2020 Styrian Grand Prix F1 was delayed by 45 minutes this Saturday July 11. Q1, contested on a wet track, was notably marked by an exit from Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo, 19th). This fault caused a red flag a few seconds from the end.
Among the drivers eliminated in Q1 are Nicholas latifi (Williams, 18th), Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo, 16th), and the surprising Sergio Pérez (Racing Point, 17th), yet at the wheel of a car fast in the dry.
Romain Grosjean (Haas) did not sign the slightest time after a passage in the gravel and above all, a mechanical problem.
