Until the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix, Anthony Davidson had attended all the races in which his son Lewis had participated. But at the start of the year, the 2008 world champion announced that he would no longer be managed by his father. A surprising decision, but explained by the fact that the two parties no longer shared a real father-son relationship.
But, the coach site reveals today that the pilot McLaren and his father had not spoken to each other for some time.
"I don't remember the last time I spoke to him, says Lewis. But it wasn't during the last two weeks. We could exchange a few messages from time to time but we don't have much to say to each other at the moment. There is no tension between us but it can't be rosy all the time. This is a big change for us, which affects us all. »
