The first lap of the Canadian Grand Prix saw an accident just after turn 5 involving Brendon Hartley (Toro Rosso) and Lance stroll (Williams). The Canadian seemed to have lost control of his Williams before tackling Hartley, the latter hitting the wall quite violently, even almost turning around.
The two cars ended their race in the loophole at turn 6, and both drivers got out of their cars. The safety car is deployed on the track.
