Brendon Hartley confirmed in The Herald that he would concentrate on his program with Toro Rosso this year for its first full season in F1. The New Zealander had a very busy end to the season, including eight consecutive weekends of competition with his dual commitment to F1 and WEC with Porsche.
“I will remain associated with Porsche but I will no longer compete in races outside of F1. It's the right thing to do in my opinion because I need to be fully focused. I have a big challenge ahead of me, I am well aware of it. I'm going to spend my energy on being as prepared as possible. This is a great opportunity that presents itself to me”, said the 28-year-old reigning WEC champion.
