Brendon Hartley was sanctioned by the Bahrain GP stewards for failing to regain his position on the formation lap after being overtaken by Sergio Pérez (Force India). The pilot Toro Rosso suffered a ten-second stop & go which transformed into an addition of 30 seconds to his time at the end of the race. The reigning champion of WEC is finally ranked last.

The winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2017 also received two points on its license and has a total of four units.
