After the commitments of Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov, Renault F1 Team has chosen Chinese Ho-Ping Tung as its third driver for the upcoming season.
2003 Formula BMW Champion, Ho-Ping Tung won the German Champion of F3 in 2006 before representing China in A1GP then Atletico Madrid in Superleague Formula (1 victory).
This Chinese born in the Netherlands also participated in two GP2 Series seasons in 2007 and 2008 (1 podium).
Ho-Ping Tung is a Gravity Sport Management driver, a subsidiary of Genii Capital, the new majority shareholder of Renault F1 Team.
