Honda title sponsor of the Japanese Grand Prix

Honda is officially back in Formula 1 ! The Japanese manufacturer, which still manufactures and supplies engines to the Red Bull and AlphaTauri teams, before they were rebadged by Red Bull Powertrains, it will be the title sponsor of the Japanese Grand Prix, scheduled for October 7 to 9. Absent from the calendar since 2019, the legendary Japanese round will once again be organized on the spectacular Suzuka track, on Honda land, which is also celebrating its 60th anniversary.

“By contributing to this extraordinary Grand Prix, Honda will continue to support the popularity and promotion of motorsports in Japan,” wrote Koji Watanabe, Honda communications director, in a press release. Last season, Red Bull was to pay tribute to its engine manufacturer on its land, with an entirely white livery of the most beautiful effect, but the Japanese GP was canceled, and replaced by a round in Turkey, won by Valtteri Bottas. The Finn is also the last F1 driver to have won at Suzuka.
