Ousted in favor of Franco Colapinto for the next five Grands Prix, Jack Doohan has expressed his disappointment at not seeing his F1 career continue for the time being.

The Australian driver will therefore have only experienced six meetings in this 2025 season, in addition to his first Grand Prix in F1, in Abu Dhabi last year. Jack Doohan still maintains hope of making his comeback, speaking of long-term goals. The son of the legend of MotoGP Mick Doohan knows that since Colapinto's contract only runs for the next five Grands Prix, it is possible to take over the Argentinian's seat if the latter does not perform well...

“I am very proud to have achieved my lifelong dream of becoming a professional Formula 1 driver. I will be eternally grateful to the team for helping me achieve it. Obviously, this new chapter is difficult to accept, as I naturally want to race, like any professional driver. That said, I appreciate the team's trust and commitment. We have long-term goals and I will continue to fully invest myself to achieve them in every way. For now, I am staying focused, working hard, and will follow the next five races with interest while continuing to pursue my personal goals.”
