According to the Italians of Autosprint, Johnny Cecotto Jr. is aiming for a place as reserve driver in F1 from next season. He is the son of Johnny Cecotto, Motorcycle World Champion in 1975 before making his debut in F1 with Theodore.
23rd in the GP2 Series this season having only competed in part of the races, Johnny Cecotto Jr is in contact with Tony Fernandes to join the new Air Asia team in GP2 2011 and have a role as test driver for Team Lotus in F1 .
