The former World Champion F1 would welcome the replacement of Vitantonio Liuzzi by Nico Hulkenberg, left home Williams at the end of the 2010 season. The German had made his mark by taking pole at the Brazilian GP, but that was still insufficient for Williams who, in search of financial support, replaced him with Pastor Maldonado, the Venezuelan 2010 GP2 Series champion.
However, Niki Lauda knows that the teams' decisions depend a lot on the budget. “Force India should sign Adrian Sutil and Nico Hülkenberg if budget is not a problem,” he told the Blick newspaper.
