Williams' gift to Nicholas Latifi in Abu Dhabi

Nicholas latifi (Williams) left the Formula 1 through the back door this Sunday, November 20 at the Grand Prix ofAbu Dhabi. The Canadian was forced to retire after being harpooned by the Haas de Mick Schumacher.

“The incident with Mick really discouraged me, then we had an electrical problem which forced us to retire. This is not how I wanted to end my last Grand Prix, but it is how it is, said the Toronto pilot.

I am very grateful for the three years I spent with Williams in Formula 1. I leave the sport feeling like I could achieve more, but it doesn't always work like that in motorsport. Along the way, there have been ups and downs but there have also been many strong friendships that I will cherish. »

Williams gave him a small gift before setting sail. This is the side pillar of the rear wing of the FW43B that he drove to his first points in F1, near Budapest (Hungary) in 2021 (7th).
