Three days after his last public appearance in Yas Marina, Lewis Hamilton was present this Wednesday, December 15 at Windsor Castle. The seven-time world champion Formula 1 was officially knighted by the Prince of Wales. He is the fourth Formula One driver in history to receive this honour, following Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Stirling Moss and Sir Jack Brabham.

Since losing the world title in the final lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to Max Verstappen, the British driver and the team Mercedes are discreet. The German team has in fact communicated nothing since announcing its desire to appeal the FIA's decisions regarding the protests lodged following the last round of the season. Hamilton is also expected to attend the end-of-season FIA awards ceremony in Paris this Thursday alongside the new champion.
