It is the luxury watch brand TAG Heuer, which will also supply the timing systems for the Formula 1 in 2025, which will be the title sponsor of the Monaco Grand Prix. This partnership is the first for the Principality's Grand Prix, which is preparing to change date from the 2026 season, and to be held during the first weekend of June. A situation that has only occurred five times out of the 70 events counting towards the world championship, which has been contested since 1950.
TAG Heuer is making a notable return to Formula 1 this year, following the major partnership contract signed with the LVMH group. The Swiss company had already been a partner of the Monaco Grand Prix since 2011, and will thus take on greater importance at a Grand Prix that remains one of the jewels in the crown of Formula 1. However, this arrival of a first title sponsor is moving in the direction of a "normalization" of the Monaco Grand Prix, which had already had to agree to draw a line under its test sessions held on Thursdays instead of Fridays in 2022.
“This is a fantastic moment in Formula 1 history as TAG Heuer becomes the first ever title sponsor of the Monaco Grand Prix, a circuit that featured in the very first season of the sport in 1950 and with which we are celebrating our 75th anniversary this year.”, explained Stefano Domenicali, president of Formula 1.

More than the arrival of a title sponsor in Monaco, which must partly absorb the additional cost of the slate imposed by Liberty Media on the ACM, we would have preferred to know more about an extension of the Monaco turnstile offering more possibilities for overtaking and fewer more or less boring, or even annoying, processions!
