It was in a video posted on Twitter that Claudia Sheinbaum, head of government of the city of Mexico City, confirmed that the event contested on the route of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez would extend her lease with the F1.

The current contract for the Mexican Grand Prix ended at the end of 2019 and the extension, the formalization of which must take place tomorrow Thursday, would therefore confirm a new date on the 2020 calendar, which will notably see the return of Zandvoort to the Down.
