The French Grand Prix has also developed an innovative mobility plan significantly reducing the carbon footprint linked to the travel of its spectators.
« The FIA Environmental Certification Framework is an important standard for measuring sustainable development in motorsport and among its stakeholders, said Jean Todt, President of the FIA. I am happy to see that the commitments and actions carried out by the French Grand Prix have brought it to Three Star level. Pioneering innovations have always been part of motor racing. »
Eric boullier, General Director of the GIP Grand Prix de France, welcomed this. “ Obtaining the highest level of environmental certification from the FIA recognizes work carried out over several years. This makes the French Grand Prix the first Grand Prix organizer to obtain this certification and is an important recognition for our organization. I would like to thank the Formula 1 French Grand Prix teams for their daily commitment and in particular, Pierre Guyonnet-Duperat, our communications & CSR director, for his involvement in this project. »
