Jean Todt did not rule out the possibility of a return of Mexico in F1. The country has not hosted single-seaters since 1992, when the race took place on the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in Mexico.

“There is no reason to rule out the possibility of Mexico?s return in the coming years”, indicated the president of the FIA. “I would choose the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit. Today, Mexico is an economically reliable country and I am certain that a return will be possible in the future. We know that racing has a cost and that many criteria must meet for the event to be approved, particularly from a safety perspective. »
