Renault F1 has obtained authorization from the FIA to make some modifications to its V8, despite the freeze on developments which prevails in this area. However, these modifications must only relate to the reliability of the V8 engine or to the cost issue. Renault, which equips four single-seaters in Formula 1 1, will thus only be able to make changes to a limited number of parts.
