FIA race director Charlie Whiting visited the Paul-Ricard circuit in Le Castellet (Var) last Friday to observe the progress of the work currently being carried out. The organizers of the French GP, the next edition of which will take place on the weekend of June 23, have redone part of the surface following the problems encountered by bikers during the Bol d'Or.
“All the turns have been redone, only the straight lines remain as they are”, commented Stéphane Clair, the director of the circuit, quoted in Var-Matin.
The entrance to the pits has also been modified, now being placed at the penultimate corner of the route.
