The promoters of the Mexican Grand Prix communicated in the wake of the declarations of the Association of the Promoters of the Grands Prix of Formula 1 (FOPA), published yesterday.

Those responsible for the event organized at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City were keen to distance themselves from the criticisms.

“The promoters of the Mexican GP wish to express their sympathy towards the promoters of other countries, knowing that each country and each race is different. Additionally, the promoters of the Mexican Grand Prix welcome the ongoing collaboration and good relations with other promoters.

However, the Mexican GP did not attend this meeting and appreciated the work done by the new owners of Formula 1 to understand the needs and concerns of the promoters, as well as those of the fans.

Promoters of the Mexican Grand Prix acknowledge that the new Formula 1 administration has listened and been sensitive to their concerns, with both parties working closely together. As a result, they do not agree with what the Formula 1 Promoters Association has published on their behalf. »

Mexico also confirms that it is working on renewing the contract with Liberty Media, the current one ending at the end of 2019.
