Charles Leclerc (Sauber) has once again made the most of its car by securing a place for Q3 in Hockenheim (Germany). His teammate Marcus Ericsson, rejected by more than seven tenths, is eliminated, just like Fernando Alonso (McLaren, 11th) and Sergey Sirotkin (Williams, 12th).
Penalized for several mechanical changes, Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) did not realize time. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), qualified for his time in Q1, did not take part in the session after a hydraulic problem.
