Pirelli has revealed each team's tire strategies for the Russian GP on September 30.
Mercedes favored ultra-soft tires to the detriment of hyper-softs for Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas. Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) will have the same strategy as the pilots Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo et Max Verstappen, but his teammate Kimi Räikkönen will have a slightly different approach with an additional set of soft tires to the detriment of the hyper softs.
Renault has focused everything on the softest tires with 10 sets available for Nico Hulkenberg et Carlos Sainz Jr.
