Pirelli tests planned for FP2 postponed

There will be no Pirelli test at Suzuka. While the official tire manufacturer of the F1 had planned that the second free practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix would be the scene of the first tests of the year for the 2023 mounts, the race management declared the track wet this Friday, twenty minutes before the start of EL2 . A decision which has the consequence of canceling the Pirelli test, which must be carried out on a dry track.

The FIA has obviously not yet announced when the game will be postponed, but the main lesson from this information is that the free practice session will still last 1h30, as had been planned in the event of a Pirelli test. As a reminder, the other test session is planned for the United States, in Austin, where F1 will go in two weeks.
