Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), in 1'42″553, was the strongest in the qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Briton thus equals the record in the exercise of Michael Schumacher, with 68 poles.

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), at the cost of a last successful attempt climbs to the front line by more than two tenths.Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) and Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) will start on the second row in front Max Verstappen, last driver under the second and Daniel Ricciardo.

Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) qualified seventh ahead of Sergio Pérez and Esteban Ocon (Force India). Jolyon Palmer (Renault) was unable to set a time after a gearbox oil pressure problem. More information to follow.
