Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) was the most energetic at the end of Q3 of the United States Grand Prix. The Briton signs his 81st career pole and places himself in an ideal position to conquer a fifth world crown.
The reigning world champion achieved a best lap in 1’32″237, 61 thousandths ahead Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), who will be penalized by three places on the grid, and will therefore start 5th, and 70 thousandths ahead of Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari).
