In Brazil, this weekend, the Team will pay tribute to the greatest technical director in its history. Mauro Forghieri, who died on November 2 in Modena (Italy) at the age of 87, left his mark on Ferrari for a quarter of a century with his innovations and will leave behind a colossal legacy, marked by 17 world titles.
In a press release, the Scuderia reacted with the voices of Piero Ferrari, Mattia Binotto and Antonello Coletta on the death of one of the legends of the brand. At Interlagos, the Maranello team will obviously think hard of Mauro and his family. THE F1-75 of Charles Leclerc et Carlos Sainz will indeed display stickers with the message “Ciao Furia” (Farewell Fury), the affectionate nickname given to him by the mechanics of the Scuderia, who was distinguished by his fiery temperament, to say the least.
During its time at the Scuderia, the team won 54 Formula 1 Grands Prix, eleven world titles, as well as nine endurance championships. In addition to the two F1-75s on track in Brazil, the sticker will also appear on the factory Ferrari 488 GTEs which will take part in the final round of the World Championship this weekend.Endurance in Bahrain: car number 51 of Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado and number 52 of Miguel Molina and Antonio Fuoco.
