Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) achieved the best time in the first free practice session of the European Grand Prix, in Valencia, in 1:41??175. The German beat the two most anticipated drivers this weekend, Lewis Hamilton (McLaren, 1?41??339) and Jenson Button (McLaren, 1?41??383). The fourth driver under 1’42” is Robert Kubica (Renault, 1'41"715).
The second free practice session starts at 14 p.m.
