Lotus F1 Racing, last of four new teams (Campos, Manor/Virgin, USF1, Lotus) to have joined the world championship Formula 1 2010, will be able to run its car in mid-February. Mike Gascoyne, technical director of the Malaysian team, told autosport.com that the Lotus will be ready to run during the third of four planned testing sessions, in Jerez, on February 17.
Four four-day sessions are on the program, first in Valencia, then Jerez, Jerez again and finally Barcelona. The first Grand Prix of the season will take place in Bahrain on March 14.
