Motorsport.Nextgen-Auto.com revealed that Lotus preferred the 'pullrod' gearbox from Red Bull to the one of Renault F1 for the 2011 season. This choice is explained by the fact that the future T128 will use tie-rod suspensions (like the Red Bull single-seaters) while the Losange single-seaters will use push-rod suspensions.
