It's just a rumor. But we're holding on to it. The facilities for the Korean Grand Prix having fallen far behind schedule, the event could be canceled this year and postponed to 2011, according to information published in AUTOhebdo this week. But the teams, as well as Bernie Ecclestone, are keen to complete the 19 meetings booked this season. It was enough for Magny-Cours to emerge from the boxes.
The idea came from Gilles Depeigneux, advisor to Prime Minister François Fillon. But opposition to this project remains stubborn: budget of 20 million euros to be found, open opposition from Ecclestone, fears from local political authorities?
