Mansell 'delighted with Lotus' return'

Nigel Mansell, Lotus driver from 1980 to 1984, does not hide his emotion at seeing a car black and gold bearing the logo of the British manufacturer, with which he played his first seasons in F1. “I am delighted to see the Lotus Group back in F1 through their partial acquisition of Renault F1,” commented the 1992 World Champion on lotuscars.com. “It is particularly pleasant for me to find the union between Lotus and Renault with the legendary black and gold colors which were seen with Ayrton Senna, Elio de Angelis, Johnny Dumfries and of course myself in the 1980s.”
