After failing his first attempt, Pierre Gasly had to help his teammate Daniil Kvyat for his second attempt according to Franz Tost (Main Team). Alas, both Toro Rosso followed each other with too much of a gap and both missed the move to Q3!
Kimi Räikkönen released his companion at Alfa Romeo Antonio Giovinazzi. Lando Norris (McLaren) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas) are also eliminated.
