McLaren advantaged by a 2nd stop?

Martin Whitmarsh, team principal of McLaren, had declared, in Bahrain, to be in favor of the obligation of a second pit stop for drivers during the Grand Prix of F1 (see elsewhere). The boss of the Woking team wanted to relaunch the show in the race. The proposal is not lacking in interest for McLaren since, according to many observers, the MP4-25 degrades its tires more quickly than other single-seaters. A 2nd stop would therefore allow better quality of the rubber over the duration of the race.
